Day One

Day One isn’t open enrollment.

It’s the moment before this became obvious.
Before the album was recorded. Before the rooms filled up. Before anyone could pretend they “always knew.”

Day One is the small group who stepped in early. Not for access. Not for perks. But because the songs felt real enough to bet on before the bet made sense.

Those names don’t reset. They don’t rotate. They don’t get recreated later.

This page exists because timing matters.
And because some people showed up before there was anything to miss.

If you’re here now, you’re welcome.
But Day One already happened.

Better Late

We’re recording this album at Capricorn Studios in Macon, Georgia… not just for nostalgia’s sake, but because it’s a place built for records that have grit.

The Legacy Business Sponsors, Day One Founders, and Day One Backers, are making this possible…paving the way so we can do this the right way.

More on Wes

Wes Herndon is a musical artist originally from Georgia, now residing in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. He began his musical journey, like many Southern artists, in church and later transitioned to the alternative rock scene in his early twenties. After taking a 30-year hiatus from the music industry to pursue a conventional career, he has finally made a return to his passion.

Influenced by a variety of genres, including rock, blues, folk, and country, he has become known for his guitar skills and unique vocal style, which has been compared to Warren Haynes, Chris Stapleton, and John Mellencamp. Wes focuses on writing songs that tell stories and evoke emotions, aiming to create music that has meaning, humor, and purpose.

He currently lives in Florida with his wife, daughter, two dogs, and a cat. His return to music has seen him perform live regionally and regularly release new music. Wes’s music can be found on all major streaming services.
