The Current Story
Better Late, recorded at Capricorn Studios.
A second act with an actual first chapter.
Georgia-born and Florida-based, Wes stepped away from music for nearly thirty years before returning in his fifties. That return led to a fan-funded album, an experienced five-piece band and recording sessions inside one of Southern music’s most storied buildings.
The complete vinyl edition of Better Late arrives September 29, 2026. The project gives writers several legitimate angles: artistic reinvention later in life, Southern musical geography, fan-funded recording and the difference between nostalgia and unfinished business.
