The Current Story

A second act with an actual first chapter.
Georgia-born and Florida-based, Wes stepped away from music for nearly thirty years before returning in his fifties. That return led to a fan-funded album, an experienced five-piece band and recording sessions inside one of Southern music’s most storied buildings.
Digital delivery of the complete 11-song Better Late album begins September 29, 2026. If production proceeds, a second vinyl pressing is expected in late October or early November. The project gives writers several legitimate angles: artistic reinvention later in life, Southern musical geography, fan-funded recording and the difference between nostalgia and unfinished business.
