Wes stepped away from music in his twenties and returned in his fifties—not to recover lost time, but to use it. The years in between became the perspective behind the songs.
The title track, “Better Late,” releases September 29, 2026, alongside the vinyl release of the complete 11-song album.
The first vinyl pressing has arrived, and fulfillment is underway for the copies already committed. The public release begins September 29 and continues song by song from there.
This isn’t starting over. It’s continuing from where life interrupted.

No Starting Over
The years away are part of the sound.
Wes grew up in central Georgia, began singing in church and entered the alternative-rock world in his early twenties. Then music gave way to work, family and nearly three decades of ordinary life.
When he returned, the point wasn’t to pretend those years never happened. They had supplied the stories: marriage, mistakes, coastal life, humor, regret and the strange clarity that comes from getting older without becoming entirely sensible.
Today, Wes is based on Florida’s Emerald Coast and performs in solo, smaller-format and full-band settings across the Southeast.
